Ranchers Recidivism Initiative
Recidivism statistics in the United States are staggering, up to 82% of people released from prison are rearrested within 10 years, up to 70% within 5 years and up to 68% within 3 years.
Lack of education, technical training and employment opportunities are some of the main contributing factors. The Ranchers Recidivism Initiative believes we can create meaningful opportunities and impact change by creating valuable training and long term (after release) employment opportunities in the beef industry.
In partnership with Beef Life, students have the opportunity to attend Butcher School where they have a unique hands-on learning experience. Our program provides real-life, in-depth training and certification upon completion.
Partnering with Corrections Industries programs nationwide and local beef producers, Beef Life creates a win – win reciprocal opportunity to feed our communities and create long-term, meaningful, living wage opportunities.
